Marketing Attribution Consultant
Understand what your channel reports can — and can't — tell you
Start with the decision, not the attribution model
Which channels actually bring people in? Which ones show up right before someone enquires or buys? And where does a lead turn into a sale — can that connection even be traced reliably?
We start with the question you need answered, not the model that sounds most sophisticated. Then we check whether your data can actually support the answer. A fancier attribution model isn’t automatically a better one.
Questions we help you investigate
Why do our platforms disagree?
Different conversion definitions, different counting rules, attribution settings that don’t quite line up, reporting windows that don’t match — and the tracking underneath all of it. We go through each layer separately, because “expected difference” and “actual fault” look identical until you check.
Are we measuring enquiries or customers?
An enquiry, a qualified opportunity and a closed sale are different stages. We check how your reports define them. Where downstream outcomes matter, we review the available CRM or sales records with agreed access and identify what is needed to connect them to the website enquiry.
What role does each channel actually play?
Paid, organic, email, referral, affiliate, whatever offline activity you’ve managed to tag — we look at what the data can actually support across all of it. Some comparisons hold up. Others don’t, and we’ll tell you which is which instead of pretending the gaps aren’t there.
What needs to change before we trust the report?
We investigate event definitions, campaign naming, integrations and reporting assumptions against the decision you need to make. Findings distinguish confirmed faults from gaps in the evidence. Any implementation or repair is agreed separately from an audit.
Recorded credit isn't proof of causation

How attribution fits into what we do
Review what's there now
Read-Only Audit — £499
Existing configuration, existing reports, available evidence — reviewed and prioritised into findings you can act on.
Test the journey itself
End-to-End Audit — £1,499
Practical tests across the agreed journeys and connected systems, with evidence and a walkthrough of what it means.
Fix and maintain the measurement
Basic: £999 + £49/mo · Full: £3,000 + £500/mo (includes s-GTM)
Complex attribution integrations and ongoing consultancy sit in Full, not Basic — we agree the right fit before you commit.
What a useful outcome looks like
An audit provides documented findings, evidence, priorities and limitations. Setup implements and tests the agreed changes. Management monitors and maintains the agreed tracking environment. We define the deliverables and responsibilities before work starts; attributed credit does not establish a channel’s incremental return.
Illustrative example: a lead isn’t a sale yet: The website logs an enquiry. Sales qualifies it. The CRM eventually shows a won deal. Call all three “conversions” without saying what each one means, and no comparison holds up. We’d define each stage, check whether the records actually connect, and agree which number answers which question.

Why it matters
Frequently asked questions
Q. What is marketing attribution, and why should you care?
A. Attribution assigns credit for an observed outcome to marketing touchpoints under a set of rules. Different definitions, attribution windows and models can produce different totals. Tracking faults can also cause discrepancies, so the explanation needs evidence.
Q. Why don't Google Analytics and Google Ads agree on conversion numbers?
A. A mismatch does not, by itself, prove that either platform is wrong. We compare conversion definitions, counting rules and reporting windows, then investigate the tracking and available records to separate expected differences from faults.
Q. First-click, last-click, or multi-touch — which attribution model should I use?
Q. Can attribution really show me a customer's full journey, start to finish?
Q. Does attribution actually prove a channel caused the sale?
A: It doesn’t, and that distinction matters more than most reports let on. Attribution tells you how credit gets assigned under a set of rules. It doesn’t tell you what would’ve happened if that channel had never run. We keep that line clear whenever we talk through results — the last thing you need is more confidence in the number than the number has earned.
Q. What does marketing attribution consulting actually cost?
A. The Read-Only Audit is £499 one-off; the End-to-End Audit is £1,499 one-off. Basic Setup & Management is £999 setup plus £49/month thereafter. Full is £3,000 setup plus £500/month thereafter. We agree the fit and scope before you commit.
Q. Do I need a CRM integration to make attribution work?
A. Not necessarily. If website enquiry counts answer your question, a CRM integration may be unnecessary. Connecting qualification, opportunities or sales requires usable identifiers, agreed outcome definitions and access to the relevant records. We check those requirements before recommending an integration.
